(And How You Can Actually Achieve These Goals)

When it comes to managing your money, many people tend to take the ‘head in the sand’ approach. The whole idea that if you don’t acknowledge something, it doesn’t exist contributes to the fact that we are more in debt now than ever before and it’s honestly scary.

Did you know it would take the average American 11 years to pay off a credit card debt and that’s only IF they stop putting extra purchases on it? And that doesn’t include any other debts, or actually enjoying your money and hitting your financial goals.

That’s right, financial goals. Have you…

Without you even realizing it!

Ever get that feeling that you’re just drowning in debt and you don’t know how to get out of it? Or feel like you just seem to keep paying off debt, and paying off debt and you’re just getting nowhere? You’re not alone! Chances are there’s a few behaviours and actions you’ve got going on that are keeping you in debt without you even realising.

Don’t get me wrong, this isn’t a finger pointing exercise at all. Half the time we don’t even know that we are doing these things, and sometimes we don’t even realise the impact they do…

Normalising miscarriage starts with talking about it

I have a son who is the most gorgeous, generous and kind little boy in the world. When he was 3, he had been asking for a baby brother or sister for a while so when those two little lines showed up on the pregnancy test, my husband and I were so excited to tell him he was getting a little baby.

The look on his face was incredible. He was so excited and started planning his role as a big brother right away.

Over the following week, he kissed my belly every chance he had and called it his…

With a family of four and without living on rice and beans

I looked at my payslip, then at my bank balance, and couldn’t work out how I went from earning $100k a year to having less than $3 left in my account.

The reality was, my husband and I had been through two divorces (one each, not with each other), spent over $60k in legal fees, paid off our debts, and had two children to look after. Literally, every cent we had, was spent digging ourselves out of the financial hole that divorce had left us in.

We were in our thirties and starting from scratch.

My husband and I knew…

Resulting in my article being shared over 600,000 times

I’ve been blogging for a while. Not ‘Darren Rowse Problogger’ vintage, but also not a brand new blogger either. I’ve written thousands of articles over the years, created 7 blogs, been published in some of the biggest publications in the world, qualified four blogs for Mediavine, and had my articles read and shared by literally millions of people from across the globe.

In all of this time, with all of my blogging experience, one thing reigns true:

You can be the most amazing writer in the world but you have to know how to market yourself.

The old adage of…

Is it time to take a leap of faith and quit your job?

For many bloggers, the idea of quitting your job to blog full time is the ultimate goal. I mean, who doesn’t want to be able to wake up whenever they want, wear their pyjamas all day, or better still — ‘work’ from any location in the world?

Not to mention that once you’re in the blogging world, you’re convinced that you’re not a ‘real’ blogger unless you’re working from a laptop by the beach or pool and living that #laptoplife.

One of the biggest mindset shifts I had to make was that I had to stop looking to other bloggers…

Being financially stable is more about habit than income.

Controlling your finances isn’t something that we just know how to do. It’s a skill that we need to learn, and a habit that we need to implement. Creating these financial habits that you can include in your day to day activities will help you keep control of your finances and will help you achieve more financial freedom and you thought possible.

Keep in mind these financial habits are ones you need to practice and work on and are ones that will develop over time. You can start implementing them today, but you don’t have to be perfect at them…

There’s something so exciting and magical about weddings. The excitement, the love, the possibilities… it’s beautiful. When we were planning our wedding we tried hard to focus on planning our marriage just as much, if not more, than the wedding itself.

Regardless of how much we prepared and planned, there are still somethings you can’t really know until you’re living it. We thought that after being married before, we would know what was coming our way. But there are still things we learned and are still learning each day.

These were some of the things I wish I knew or…

Striving for perfection is a killer of self confidence.

It’s the ultimate combination really… and by ultimate I mean the one that is going to tear you down faster than you can say ‘where’s my extra strength vanilla latte?’ You know how you won’t let a project go until it’s just right? Perhaps you start something, only to never finish it because you can’t get it just the way you want? I know you’re feeling some of this, you wouldn’t be reading if you weren’t. Is perfectionism killing your self confidence too?

When we talk about self confidence, we are referring to our belief in ourselves to achieve or…
